Learn how to Throw a Unicorn Party in One Day with all these budget-friendly unicorn party supplies and helpful tips! From party planning and shopping to printables, this post has you covered.
Yep…you read that right! I put this Budget-Friendly Unicorn Party together in only one day. The morning of my daughter’s birthday, we came up with the Pin the Horn on the Unicorn idea, went to Target, and got all the food and unicorn party supplies we needed to make a magical birthday! Read on to see how you can recreate it.
Unicorn Party Food in a hurry
This was the easiest part of the party. When I put a party together for kids, they’re usually easy to please. All the food for this party was store bought. Luckily, unicorns are all the rage, so I was able to find some cute mini cotton candy cupcakes, mini cakes, and cotton candy sugar cookies. We also had juice boxes to drink and pink gold fish crackers to even out the sweetness of the rest of the party.
Easy Budget Friendly Unicorn Party Decor
Luckily, I had some designs I already created for a Unicorn kid craft. I made some adjustments and created some new Unicorn Printables and used the Pin the Horn on the Unicorn game as part of the party decor (two birds with one stone, there!) Cutting out the printables and the game took the most time to put together. The rest of the decor was purchased at Target and some I already had at home.
I didn’t have time to put together a Balloon Garland, so I blew up some balloons and put together paper lanterns to place on the ground. If you can, use some matching wrapping paper or bags and display them as part of the decor. Get creative with what you have. Unicorn Party Games
Since I already had the designs and supplies for this Unicorn Craft, I had the girls create their own unicorns after they were done eating the party food. I gave each girl a glue stick, some “unicorn hair” and let them have a party decorating their unicorns. They had so much fun and made sure to show off their creations to their moms.
They also loved the Pin the Horn on the Unicorn Game. It was a fun take on a classic and that only took about an hour to make…since you already have all the printables and tutorial for it, it will take even less time for you!
After the eating food, the Unicorn Craft, party game, and opening presents, they had some time to pretend to be unicorns with their Unicorn Headbands.
After almost a year off from creating parties, I wasn’t expecting to do this one…but I’m glad my daughter gave me the inspiration for a Unicorn party because I love the way it turned out and Riley and her friends had so much FUN…and that’s what it’s really about, right? Below, I’ve conveniently listed where to buy everything from this party, just in case!
