A Real Life Mermaid Gift Tags and Paper Dolls

I created some Mermaid Tote Bags with Cricut Infusible Ink, and then had the great idea to add these “A Real Life Mermaid” Gift Tags to the mix.

I used some elements from my Hand Lettered Mermaid SVG Files so you can see how versatile these designs are. Please note – the mermaids are not free…just the gift tags!

I used the included pattern, hand lettered quote, and mermaid tail, but if you get the whole set, you have limitless possibilities!

This set includes OVER 20 FILES! I also have THIS SET of Mermaid SVG Files in my shop.

A Real Life Mermaid Gift Tags Supply List

Free Printable (download at the bottom of this post)
Cricut Machine (optional, but makes cutting SOOOO much easier – if you want to know what machine you should get, check out this post)
Scissors (if you don’t have a Cricut)
Small hole punch (if you don’t have a Cricut)
Cardstock
Baker’s Twine

Mermaid Gift Tags Tutorial

If you have a Cricut, go to THIS POST and follow the instructions for uploading Print and Cut files to Cricut Design Space, then skip to step 5.
If you don’t have a Cricut, simply print the printables on cardstock.
Cut them out with scissors.
Fold them in half, then punch a hole in the top (see pictures).
Use Baker’s Twine to attach your A Real Life Mermaid” Gift Tags to your Mermaid Tote or other gift idea!

You’ll notice I have some Mermaid Paper Dolls in these images, and you can cut them out with the Cricut just like you cut out these gift tags.

They’re included in my Mermaid SVG Bundle – but the cool thing is you can change the colors of your Mermaid dolls to anything you like. I did it with these American Girl Paper Dolls (tutorial is included).

I love these dolls because many times girls can’t find a doll that looks like them. It was hard enough for me to find dolls with dark hair and blue eyes…but with these, you can make them look like your daughters or nieces and it’s SO easy.

Plus, I’ve included numerous hair styles for fun 😉
