These Red, White and Blue Jello Jars are beautiful, delicious and super easy to make. Use mini jars to cut refrigeration time!
I just attended a 50’s housewife themed 4th of July party (coming soon to the blog!) and it got me in the mood for some Jello. That’s what comes to mind when I think of the 50’s. Also, I think of jars…thus, these Red, White and Blue Jello Jars were born. I used Berry Blue Jello, Strawberry Jello
and homemade whipped cream.
I haven’t had Jello in forever…but that stuff is delicious. Especially when half of your jello is whipped cream. It’s so easy to make, too. I made both Jello flavors at the same time (for an upcoming post) and made these because I had extra. I poured the blue first in the bottom, let it set in the fridge for about an hour, then did the same thing with the red. FYI…when you pour the red on top of the blue, make sure it’s not hot…otherwise it will melt the blue.
Homemade whipped cream is the easiest thing ever, especially if you have a KitchenAid Mixer. Just pour 1 c. whipping cream into the KitchenAid and whip with the whisk attachment for about 4 minutes. Add about an 1/8 c. of sugar (or whatever amount you like).
I used THESE JARS and they were perfect. They’re small enough for little people, plus they’re cute. Check out the blog on Monday to view the party details! If you need a reminder, sign up for my email list below to get updates for all my posts!
