My other luau experience is a mix between a love story and a horror story, but you know…that’s how I roll.

How a Hawaiian Luau Party sealed my fate
I promise I’ll get to the party details in a bit, but this story just HAS to be told. It’s one of my greatest accomplishments, really.
Before my husband and I started seriously dating, we had a weird drama thing going on. I won’t go into to much detail…mostly because I can’t remember…
But my roommate and I were brainstorming ideas to prank him and his roommates. One of my roommates suggested we get a pig head to put in their toilet. We thought that would be AMAZING but…
Where in the heck would we get a pig head?
Well, just so happened our apartment complex was having a Luau party that weekend…and there was a pig roast. See where I’m going with this? Yup. We found our pig head that same week.
We kindly asked for the pig head from our church leader who threw the party. He was obviously skeptical…but he told us as long as we didn’t do anything illegal, we could have it.
We may have fibbed a teensy bit about the illegal part…
So we did what sane people do and kept a pig head in our refrigerator until an opportunity presented itself. AKA…we skipped class and waited until all six roommates were out of my future husband’s apartment.
We may have gone a little far. And by that I mean…we went too far. No one’s ever accused me of doing things part way.

We put the pig head in the toilet, stuck oreos to the shower and filled the tub up with dry milk, turned over all their living room furniture, wrote out slightly threatening notes on their mirrors in lipstick…
and my favorite part…
We stole EVERY SINGLE pillow in their apartment (including throw pillows) and then MAILED them to them. We even made creepy ransom note address labels.
They figured out it was us pretty quick because we were the only girls that were that twisted.
When they demanded they get their pillows back, we truthfully told them we didn’t have them.
And that’s when my husband and I fell in love.
For reals, we had our first kiss the night they got their pillows back – because with that kind of effort, you either really hate someone or love them.
And that’s how a luau party sealed my fate. We’ve got three kids that are as weird as I am, so LOOK OUT WORLD!

Anywho…this Hawaiian Luau Party is slightly more tame than the first one, but boy is it cute.
Plus, it’s budget friendly and super easy to put together.
