Enjoy these witty and FREE Hand Lettered Anti-Valentine Printables…for those that aren’t fans of the day of love! Includes free gift tags and word art!
It’s not that I’m not a fan of love…but I get super uncomfortable when people start sharing their feelings. It’s not something I’m proud of, but I almost always make a joke when things get serious and it can either lighten the mood or make things really awkward. It’s a gamble, really. If you’re like me, then these FREE Hand Lettered Anti-Valentine Printables are for you!
I got an iPad Pro for Christmas specifically so I can hand letter. My husband thought I was crazy, but it really was an investment and HELLO tax break! I use the ProCreate app and some brushes I purchased off of Creative Market to make these FUN and hilarious Anti-Valentine Gift Cards and word art prints. You can watch the sped-up process below:
As you can see, I play around with the spacing before I create the final artwork. I also created the bokeh background in procreate, then opened it up in photoshop and layered the drawings on top of it. I always save my procreate files in PSD format (photoshop) so I can move things around. I am horrible at centering things right off the bat, so it’s SUCH a great feature with the procreate app!
Here’s a list of everything I used for these designs:
- iPad Pro 12.9 (I like the larger size for hand lettering)
- Apple Pencil
- Procreate App (find it in the Apple Store. You can ONLY use this on an iPad Pro)
- Procreate Brushes from Creative Market Pack of 8 (I used several of these)
- Watercolor Brush for the background (under ARTISTIC, free in the app)
- Bokeh Lights Brush for the background (under LUMINANCE, free in the app)
Even though this is not my favorite Holiday, I’m a sucker for all the pink…and I have plenty of Valentine Printables for those that are more traditional with this holiday, but I can’t help but LOVE these printables! Here I go talking about feelings…time for a joke, right?
