Download this FREE Valentine Brush Lettering Practice Sheet so you can create a beautiful brush lettered gift for Valentine’s Day this year!
I’ve teamed up again with Olivia from Random Olive for this FREE Valentine Brush Lettering Practice Sheet. If you haven’t seen the first practice sheet, check it out after you download this! It’s one of the most popular posts on Printable Crush, and I think you can see why. We wanted to create something fun for you this Valentine’s Day, and I think this saying “All You Need is Love and Doughnuts!”
I use Tombow Dual Brush Pens for my brush lettering. They are so fun and you can get them in a lot of colors. You can see them in action in the video below. I’m using Chinese Red dual brush pen for this post.
You can see how I keep my arm rested on my desk. I put more pressure on my pen on the down strokes, then lighten it up on the up strokes. I like providing videos for you so you can see how each letter is supposed to be written. This is also about 4 times faster than how I usually write, so TAKE YOU TIME! It takes a lot of practice and patience to get good at brush lettering.
If you’re serious about getting better, I HIGHLY recommend getting Random Olive’s Brush Lettering Practice Guide. It has every letter, number plus lowercase couplets (how each lowercase letter looks when they are combined). It’s such a relaxing hobby (or for me…it’s my JOB…somebody pinch me!)
My daughter has even practiced with these…and she’s pretty amazing for a 7-year-old. She also works with my Hand Lettering Worksheets for kids, so she’s getting good at every level!
