These Cricut EasyPress 2 Fall Crafts and FREE SVG Files are perfect for Thanksgiving or Fall home decor and parties!
Cricut recently sent me the smaller version of the EasyPress 2 and at first, I was like, okay…now I have 3 EasyPresses! I mean, I love getting stuff, but did I really need it? The answer is YES. While I made these Cricut EasyPress 2 Fall Crafts for my Modern Farmhouse Fall decor, I instantly fell in love with this small portable size.
I definitely like the others for larger things like t-shirts and throw pillows, but I think the smaller size is actually my favorite. I didn’t realize how many small items I use with iron-on. It’s perfect for things like baby onesies, gift bags, and of course these lovely fall leaf coasters. Bonus for you…it’s also a lot affordable!

Please note: I may use some lingo for the Cricut that may be confusing to newbies. Banner Instructions
- Open the banner file in CDS and click MAKE IT (unless you need to make adjustments, of course – then you would click Customize before sending it to the Cricut).
- For the “hey” graphics, you will need to MIRROR the mat. You can do this by click the toggle button under the mat image. Once you do that, click CONTINUE.
- Once your Maker is connected, set your material to FABRIC for the pennant. You can choose from different types of fabric by clicking on the Edit Materials button.
- Switch out your blade for the rotary blade.
- Apply your fabric to the FabricGrip Mat with the Applicator, then load it into the machine. Once the Cricut Cut button starts flashing, click it.
- While that’s cutting, place your Gold Iron-On FACE DOWN (that would be the shiny side) onto the LightGripMat.
- After the fabric banner is cut, unload it, switch back to the fine point blade, then load the iron-on mat into the Cricut and cut.
- Take the fabric off the mat with the tweezers from the Remover Set and set the penants aside. Tip: Be careful not to touch the mat too much – the oils from your hands will remove the adhesive.
- After your material is cut, weed around the line design with the Weeding Tool.
- Click on the Heat Button your EasyPress and set it according to Cricut’s guidelines. Also, click on the time button and set it to Cricut’s settings. So, for this project, I set it to 315 degrees for 30 seconds.
- Hold the EasyPress down on the design, click on the Cricut button to countdown, and hold it in place until the timer beeps.
- Turn the design over, change the timer to 15 seconds, and heat all the areas on the back of the fabric.
- Peel of the liner according to Cricut’s instructions (it will either be a warm peel – like for glitter – or a cold peel for something like foil).
- Weed Baker’s Twine
through the holes in the banner and you’re done!
FYI: You can also see my instructions on using foil iron-on for this Home for the Holidays wood sign.
For the Wood Planks and Coasters
- Take a cloth and wipe off the surface of the Wood Plank
or Coaster
.
- Upload the SVG Files to Cricut Design Space. Tip: If you’re unsure how to do that, check out my tutorial on how to upload files to CDS.
- Resize the image to fit on the wood plank or coaster.
- Once you have customized your changes, click the MAKE IT button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Now you’ll need to select your mat size and click on the MIRROR toggle so it appears green. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT for the text. Otherwise, your design will appear backward.
- Click continue and set your material to Glitter Iron-On.
- Place the material on the mat so the shiny part is facing down, click the LOAD button on the machine, then click the CUT button once it starts cutting.
- After your material is cut, weed around the line design with the Weeding Tool.
- Click on the Heat Button your EasyPress and set it according to Cricut’s guidelines. Also, click on the time button and set it to Cricut’s settings. Glitter on wood, I set it to 300 degrees for 40 seconds.
- Heat the area you will apply the design to for 30 seconds, then place the design on the wood plank.
- Hold the EasyPress down with FIRM PRESSURE over the design, click on the Cricut button to countdown, and hold it in place until the timer beeps. Move the EasyPress around if you didn’t cover the whole design.
- Peel of the liner according to Cricut’s instructions, so for glitter it will be a WARM PEEL.
And that’s it! You can use this technique with any other SVG file in my shop, too!
