I really don’t like cleaning (you would think so since I keep buying kitchen stuff). I think few people do. The problem with that is that I LOVE having a clean house. I can’t concentrate if my house isn’t clean. I’m a better mother, wife, and worker when I have a clean home. I used to clean my house every Saturday, but now that I’m nine months pregnant, and my feet swell up like balloons if I stand too long…I’ve resorted to a cleaning schedule. This Printable Cleaning Schedule is great for maintaining a clean home!
We moved into our home almost two years ago, and while it’s not perfect…I love it. It’s a perfect size, has a lot of storage, and it’s just pretty! Since moving here, you could say I’m a little anal…(wonder where I got that from, MOM!)
To help me out, I have some house rules that go along with my cleaning schedule.
Cleaning Schedule House Rules:
- NO eating on the carpet – the bedrooms have carpet, and I do not under any circumstances allow food in there
- NO shoes in the house – I have tile through most of the house, but I still don’t let anyone wear shoes unless it’s the day before I mop
- COASTERS – I think this is self-explanatory
- No playing with decor – I have a three-year-old…this constantly has to be enforced
- Wash hands after eating
I sound like a drill sergeant, right? Rest assured, I have very happy children that are messy and play outside a lot. Someday they’ll be considerate when visiting other homes ๐ Also, my husband and I abide by the rules, so we set an example (my husband is almost as picky as I am…almost).
I created my printable for my home, but I think it will work for most people…if not, I created blank designs so you can write up your own schedule! I’m the most forgetful person in the world, so it helps to make a list and check things off. Plus, I feel accomplished.

I love that this is a look at the entire month. You can either put this into a page protector or laminate to use a wet erase marker. It also comes with a blank version to fill in with whatever works best for your family!

Hi, thank you so much !!!!

I am the exact same way, I do not function properly without a clean home but also would rather do anything other than cleaning. I love the month layout with suggestions. That’s so hard to find and is so needed!

Hi Erin! I am so happy to have found these sheets on pinterest recently!! quick question for you – the program you use to create your printables is Adobe Illustrator, yes? And, have you ever thought of making your printables an editable pdf? I know there are many individuals (including myself) who don’t like anything such as something like this in their own handwriting. Thanks for these, love the colors too!

I WAS ACTUALLY JUST GOING TO SUGGEST THE SAME THING! I WOULD LOVE THAT!!!

I’m working on updating this printable and a few others and I’ll make them editable for you all ๐

Thanks so much for 1) these gorgeous printables and 2) the hand lettering worksheets! I keep a binder of printables I love in sheet protectors and use them as dry erase. It’s my way of trying out new systems without fully committing – or feeling like I’m personally responsible for cutting down a forest.
Thanks again!
