Wrapping presents is my absolute favorite part of Christmas. I seriously like it more than opening them. Sometimes I don’t have time to wrap the perfect present, so I was realized the ornaments I made for my Handmade Ornament Series could be used as gift tags! These Handmade Cricut Christmas Gift Decorating Ideas are easy, and most files are available with your Cricut Access subscription.
The thing I love about the first Christmas gift tag I’m sharing, is that they’re so easy! They’re intricate, so for several ornaments, it’s a bit of a wait to get everything cut out, but during that time, I could work on other projects.
What you’ll need for the ornament gift tag:
- Cricut Design Space
- Christmas Ornament Image (available with a Cricut Access subscription)
- Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air (read more about the Maker here)
- Cricut Design Space
- Sparkle Paper (I used red and fuschia)
- Gold Foil Poster Board
- White Card Stock
I would normally have a tutorial, but this is so easy, you can send it your Cricut as is, or do what I did and get rid of the light green layer. After you add the image to your canvas, copy and paste for as many gift tags you need, Click MAKE IT, and choose the corresponding material for each cut. You’ll assemble them by layering them like I did above, then tying them with a piece of ribbon or Baker’s Twine. EASY PEASY!!
What you’ll need for the paper flower embellishment:
- Cricut Design Space
- Peony Design (available with a Cricut Access subscription)
- Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air (read more about the Maker here)
- Cricut Design Space
- Crepe Paper
- Pom pom
or gold decor ball for the center
The best tutorial for this is actually from this project in Cricut Design Space. I used tissue paper for mine because that’s what I had, but crepe paper will work better. I think these would also look GORGEOUS on a tree.
