Good Morning Breakfast Printables

School gets out in a couple of days and I can’t tell you how excited I am! I thought I would be one of those moms that hated the approaching summer because kids are a lot of work. The work can be hard, but waking up to get ready for school is even harder! Plus, my daughter is really enjoyable to be around and she is helpful with my boys. She still wakes up early in the morning, so I’m trying to give her an incentive to let me sleep in a little while longer. I created these Good Morning Breakfast Printables to place on Kellogg’s Cereal In A Cup with the hope that she’ll get her own breakfast in the morning!

I have never been a morning person. I tried to fake sick almost weekly JUST so I could sleep in. That has been the biggest adjustment for me as a parent. When my daughter was born, I was FLOORED that I had to wake up all night and then be raring to go at 6:00 am. She’s still an early riser, and so are her two brothers. Riley has a bit of an independent spirit, which can be helpful when I ask her take on responsibilities. I need to wake up with her to get her ready for school… but I don’t need to in the summer. With a four month old, I can use all the help I can get.

I’m going to have her get her own cereal in the mornings (and hopefully her brother’s, too!) to give me some extra shut-eye! When I get more sleep, I’m a better mother… so I’ll be able to spend more quality time with the kids the rest of the day. My plan is to have some of these cute Good Morning Printables already cut out and stored away. I’ll lay them out on the table with a spoon and a Kellogg’s Cereal In A Cup at night and show her where she can find the milk.

I picked these up at Walmart in the cereal aisle. They have different flavors that kids love (like Froot Loops and Mini Wheats). They’re also a great thing to keep in the car in case someone gets hungry and needs a snack on the go! It may only be 15 extra minutes of sleep, but I’ll take it!
