You know I’m really big on teaching kids Hand Lettering…so these Back to School Hand Lettering Practice Sheets are one more way to help kids learn cursive, and it helps facilitate learning the structure of capital letters that they already know. I have a daughter who LOVES using these…and honestly, I love using them, too!
Here’s a video that gives an idea of how I use different brush/lettering pens with these practice sheets.
What you’ll need (markers are just suggestions and what I use-some are not used in the video, but I’ve tried them all):
- Practice Sheets (for personal use only – scroll down and click on the pink download button)
- White Paper
- Tombow Twintone Markers
- Tombow Dual Brush Pens
- Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens
- Airline Stix Brush Markers
- Sharpie Brush Tip Markers
- Sharpie
- Crayola Markers
(always good for kids!)
Each lettering pen has a different look, so feel free to test them out. If you want to learn more about some of the pens I listed, check out this post for Brush Lettering Pens for Beginners. My new favorites are the Twintone Markers from Tombow. They are so bright and colorful and have two sides. They’d be perfect for filling out planners, or you can practice fun ways to letter (see the MATH page that I filled out above for inspiration).

I think you’ll love these, too…which is why I’m giving away a whole set of 12 markers! They’re amazing for fine drawing, journaling, scrapbooking, lettering, and decorating your planners!
