Learn to Create Invitations in Canva using Premade Graphics (like these from DesignCuts). It’s SO easy and you’ll love the different designs you can make!
I’m obviously a HUGE fan of Adobe Illustrator…I even created a whole course to show you how to make your own printables with it. Nothing really beats Illustrator…but if you need something quick and you already have the graphics that are premade (like THIS AMAZING BUNDLE from DesignCuts), Canva is definitely a great option. I like it because it’s free, but I think it’s pretty intuitive. Since it has basic functions, like inserting images or fonts, and changing the size, etc…it’s at a basic level.
You definitely won’t be able to create designs like you would in Illustrator…but you don’t really need to if you’re just creating an invite for your daughter’s birthday party, right? Check out the tutorial below to see how I incorporated designs from the Inspiring Artistic Design Collection to create invitations for my daughter’s birthday.
Create Invitations Using My Video Tutorial:
I used the Teddy Woods Cartoon Pack and the Good Vibes Sticker Collection for these. Those graphics are SO adorable and compliment each other. Another great thing about this bundle is that it includes Adobe Illustrator files and Photoshop files, as well…so if you’re ready to take your designs skills to the next level, this bundle will be ready for you!
I used the fonts that Canva has already, but if you want to use fonts from your computer, you need to purchase a plan. It’s still very affordable. Remember to stick to my rules for Font Pairing Ideas. As you can see…I pretty much stick with 2-3 fonts for my designs.
I think my daughter is going to love these! Her birthday isn’t for a while, but never hurts to plan ahead. For my son’s birthday, I invited a couple friends over and we had Nothing Bundt Cakes…my daughter isn’t as easily impressed.
On Monday…I’ll add even more elements and MORE tutorials for this stationery suite! Definitely check back then!
