The best way to keep consistent is brainstorm blog post ideas ahead of time with this FREE Printable Worksheet!
If you follow my blog, Strawberry Mommycakes, you might have seen my 2-week printable calendar. I don’t schedule out my day any further than two weeks out. However, it’s never too early to start thinking up blog post ideas. Sometimes I have an idea for Halloween in February, so I need to write it down before I forget.
I like to keep this handy on my desk or in my planner. I’ll list the topic at the top and list several ideas below. When it comes closer to my two-week mark, I choose my favorite ideas and schedule them in. I like this method because I have plenty of room and several options to choose from.
Easily Remember Blog Post Ideas
Writing things down also helps me remember. I’m the most forgetful person in the world. I don’t know how many times a day I walk in a room and forget what I was doing there. It’s a lot. Having kids that interrupt me all the time doesn’t help. So if I have an idea, I write it down….immediately!
Be Prepared for Off-Days
I also love this because, as a creative, I’m not always feeling so inspired. Some days I’m full of ideas and other days, NOTHING. Since being consistent is so important when you’re blogging, it can be really frustrating when I need an idea for my Wednesday post and I can’t think of anything. On those uninspiring days (or weeks…or months), I can just pull from this list and I’m good to go!
Tweak for Sponsored Posts
I also like this when I need an idea for a sponsored post. If something isn’t spot on, I can tweak it to fit the brand messaging. Super handy!
My blog topics for Strawberry Mommycakes usually cover holidays and craft ideas. For Printable Crush, I’ll be looking at printable ideas and business advice.
