Want to learn the BEST Way to Fold Fitted Sheets? Here’s a hint…YOU DON’T! Read on to see how my husband completely changed the way we do laundry.
Yep, you read that right…I don’t fold fitted sheets. Actually, I don’t fold most of the laundry. We used to share the dinner/wash dishes and laundry chores, but I REALLY hate laundry and he hates doing dishes. So, I now cook dinner and do the dishes and my husband folds the laundry. He came up with this genius way to “fold” fitted sheets!
My husband is always trying to find ways to stay organized…which is a task being married to me because I’m not organized AT ALL. I mean, I am with certain things, but I can not figure out how to fit things into closets. I don’t think that way, but luckily my hsuband does. This is THE BEST way to fold fitted sheets because not only do you keep the sheets and pillow cases in one spot, but everything stores well when it’s rolled up.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Fold your flat sheet in half 2 times (3 times if it’s a king) length-wise, then in half width-wise and lay it down.
- Fold your pillow cakes and lay them on top of the flat sheet.
- Fold your fitted sheet a couple of times and bunch it up on top of the other sheets. Don’t worry about making it look pretty.
- Now roll all of the sheets together.
Here’s a video that should help you fold fitted sheets:
Pretty simple, right? It’s a great solution to some laundry and storage woes.

A couple of things you may be wondering: Will the sheets get wrinkled? Yes. The fitted sheet will look wrinkled for a day or two, but when you sleep on them, they’re iron out. It helps to use a Fabric Softener like Snuggle® Ultra Blue Sparkle fabric conditioner. If you store them for a while, you should also use blue iris bliss Snuggle Scent Boosters®. That way, the fabric will stay fresh AND soft. You can find Instant Savings this month at Sam’s Club for featured Snuggle items.
Make sure you read the instructions and don’t exceed the recommended amount of product per load.

This is genius. I remember my mother used to roll the sheets into themselves but I don’t think she included the fitted sheet. I love how everything’s kept together- I bet it really locks in freshness with the help of Snuggle!

I love this so much! I cracked up at the “you don’t” because I just dealt with this issue last week except my sheet ended up more in a ball than a roll. So thanks for the tip! And who doesn’t love soft fresh smelling sheets?!! Cute labels and linen storage ideas too.

Ha! Yeah, fitted sheets are the worst!
