If you’re planning a trip to Turks and Caicos, here are 5 things to do in Turks and Caicos that you don’t want to miss! We tried them all, and are so glad we did!
I just got back from Social Media on the Sand at Beaches in Turks and Caicos. It was so fun and there was so much to do, but at the same time, it was such a relaxing trip. We didn’t take our kids, so that could have been a factor for the relaxation scale. The awesome thing about Beaches is that when you purchase a night’s stay, everything is paid for. I literally didn’t touch my wallet the whole time. There are some activities that you can pay extra for, but I didn’t feel like I needed to (but it would have been really fun going on the other excursions…I’m just saying you don’t have to pay extra to have a great time).
5 Things To Do In Turks and Caicos:
1. Canoe and/or Windsurf
They have many rental canoes, sailboats and windsurf boards. It was really easy to just go rent the canoe and head out. It gives you a chance to see a part of the ocean that you can’t if you just swim. My husband also had a good laugh because I’ve never rowed a boat in my life and I had no idea what I was doing. My husband took lessons for windsurfing while I was at the conference, so he went windsurfing. It looks really hard, but something you should try if you have a chance!
2. Snorkel
I have a fear of water…so why would I tell you to go snorkeling? Because it’s still really fun. Once I get over the initial anxiety, it’s really easy and a much cooler way to enjoy the water. The water there is PERFECTION! It’s like swimming in a turquoise heated pool with gorgeous fish! Just do it, okay?
3. Eat
Yes, you have to eat…but you need to enjoy it on vacation, too. I liked Soy Sushi the best because I love sushi. The Tuna Poke was delightful! My next favorite was the Safron Fish and Chips at Neptune…actually one of my favorite fish and chips I’ve ever had. If you’re not a fish person, I recommend eating at Le Petite Chateau for fine dining. If I have a chance to go back, I’ll try Sapodillas and Kimono’s because everyone said those places are amazing!
4. Go to the Pier at Night
This sounds so weird. I tried to figure out a way to word this so it sounds interesting, but I couldn’t. Just head over to the pier after dark and they have lights illuminating the water. You can see fish at night that you might not during the day, like this giant barracuda (it doesn’t look big here, but it really is huge!) We also saw a stingray and someone said they saw a shark, but we think it was probably seaweed 🙂 Also, don’t let this scare you for snorkeling!!
5. Relax
It was soooo relaxing and that’s something that I haven’t done since before I had kids. My husband and I went to Hawaii a couple years ago which was awesome, but we spent so much time trying to get all our activities in that we didn’t really relax. I don’t think I sat on the beach once! I have a hard time relaxing at home anyway, so this trip was a great way to force me to take some down time and it was AMAZING! Grab a pina colada (virgin, in my case), sit on the beach with a good book and relax!
Have you been to Beaches yet? What are your must do activities?

Turks and Caicos is one of my favorite places in the Caribbean. I have stayed at the Regent Palms, Point Grace and Club Med (when we were younger). The beaches there are amazing! I need to check out Beaches resort one of these days…Looks like you had a wonderful time!

It was dreamy! I haven’t stayed at the other hotels, but Beaches would be hard to beat!

My husband and I were thinking about visiting the beaches in Turks and Caicos for our next vacation. It sounds like it would be an adventure, especially checking out giant barracuda at night. I also like how it seems like there is a variety of activities that can be done in the area.
