We recently started a tradition in our family where we spread a blanket on the floor, give the kids some popcorn and watch a movie. They LOVE doing this. It’s really fun for everyone and it’s an activity where I can sit down and RELAX! I, of course, had to get the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie and create some FREE Movie night printables.
You guys…I’m so excited about these printables! It’s been a while since I’ve worked with gradients and 3-D looking printables (because it takes A LOT of time), but I’m so glad I did. My family loved these! I love these…they’ll make your movie night extra fun and you get them for FREE! Click on the link below, unzip the files (if you have a PC). Cut them out with scissors or with your Silhouette Cameo, fold the flaps, then glue in place.
Download the free printables HERE (and leave a comment letting me know how you like them!)
I like making it as “movie-like” as possible, so I’ve included popcorn boxes, movie trays, soda wrappers and candy pillow boxes. The cupcake toppers and wrappers are just an added bonus in case you want to throw a movie night party! I like the movie trays because the kids can carefully carry everything from the kitchen to the living room…it’s a lot less mess for mom t0 clean up!
I bought Guardians of the Galaxy in the Blu-Ray/DVD/HD combo pack and a Starlord mask and Nerf Gun set at Walmart. You can find the toy display in the middle of the aisles and the movie in the entertainment section. The Guardians of the Galaxy DVD set includes exclusive Character O-sleeve and exclusive music zinepack and a 64 page magazine with cast and crew interviews, exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and trivia PLUS a custom “cassette” laptop decal.
They have so many fun toys, but my son went crazy over the mask! He was not going to leave the store without it.
I probably won’t have time to do this for EVERY movie night, but it’s really fun to do this once in a while! Lucky for you, when I do it again, you’ll get the printables already made 🙂
What do you like to do for family movie night?
