Mongolian BBQ Party

Ingredients

For the Meatballs

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/4 c bread crumbs
  • 2 Tb soy sauce
  • 2 Tb brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbs canola oil

For the sauce

  • 1/4 c soy sauce
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbs brown sugar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 Tbs ketchup
  • 1 tsp corn starch

Instructions

  • Combine all meat ingredients in a bowl. Once combined, roll meat into 1 1/2 in. round balls.
  • Heat a large pan to medium heat. Cook meatballs in batches. Brown on each side, turning often.
  • Once meat is browned on the outside, cover pan with a lid and turn the heat down to medium low. Cook for about 4 more minutes until done.
  • Repeat with the rest of the meatballs. Set aside.
  • Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Pour sauce in the same pan you made the meatballs in. Keep at medium heat.
  • Bring sauce to boil and turn down heat.
  • Once sauce in thickened, add meatballs to the pan and coat with the sauce.
  • You can serve immediately or refrigerate them for later.
