This gorgeous Felt Flower Fall Wreath Decor Idea looks like it was a ton of work, but it’s incredibly easy to make! Great for Fall mantel decor!
I’m so excited to show you this Felt Flower Fall Wreath Decor Idea! This is the first wreath I’ve ever made and I probably would have never done it if I didn’t have the Cricut Maker.
There is absolutely NO WAY I could cut felt flowers like this…nor would I want to. Can you imagine how many hours it would take to make this?
With the Maker , it was like two hours total, and you’ll probably get it done even faster because you already have the layout done for you with my 3D Rose SVG Files.
I’ve included 4 different flower designs (that loopy one has me swooning), 1 accent flower (place it under the rolled up felt flower for a really beautiful effect), and 9 leaf designs.
I know pink and purple are not the usual choice for Fall decor, but I don’t like the usual colors for Fall, so I made my own color scheme. I think the gray and gold really make it lovely and it will honestly work all year round!
What you’ll need to make this Felt Flower Fall Wreath Decor Idea
- Tutorial for Felt Roses
- 3D Flower SVG Files
- Cricut Maker (will come with a fabric rotary blade- read more about the Maker here)
- Fabric Grip Mat (for larger projects, get the 12X24″ mat)
- Felt Sheets (no larger than 12X24)- try BBD Supplies or Felt on the Fly on Etsy
- Hot Glue Gun
- Willow Wreath
- Gold Glitter Cardstock
- Follow the instructions for creating Felt Roses. Cut out 8 flowers on Felt , and multiple leaves on Felt and Glitter Cardstock. Tip: The roses were about 6″X6″, with the base flowers about 3″X3″ to 3.5″X3.5″. The felt leaves were about 3X4″. Adjust sizing as needed.
- Once everything is cut and roses are assembled, start laying the leaves down on the wreath and layer with flowers. Don’t glue anything until you like the way it looks. Tip: I only put vines on the ends.
- Once the layout is to your satisfaction, start gluing the bottom layer of leaves to the wreath with the Hot Glue Gun.
- Keep adding layers of leaves and flowers and attach with Hot Glue, let it cool and you’re done
Not only is this wreath gorgeous, but it helped me get through a really tough day. My grandmother (who I saw almost every single day while I was growing up and who took me on vacations and was pretty much the best grandmother ever) died the day before.
I know it’s silly that a wreath made me feel better, but it was soothing rolling up the roses and watching the Maker do its job. It was the sort of mindless activity I needed that day, and now I have something in my home that will always make me think of her.
You may have noticed I haven’t been as consistent in my blog posts lately, and this is why. It’s hard to navigate my way through grief, while also running a business. I still have some rough days, so you may see a lot more wreaths on here.
I just want to say thank you to everyone that has visited my blog this month! I was able to take time off that I needed, and my loyal readers were still here. It’s such a blessing to be able to have a job that allows me to do that…and it’s all because of you. Really, from the bottom of my heart…THANK YOU!
