This pretty Hand Lettered Flower Pot is SO easy to make with Sharpie Painting Pens! The possibilities to create with these are endless!
This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Sharpie Paint Marker, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #SharpiePaintCreate https://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
The day I made these was pure chaos. It wasn’t anything in particular, but every child was going insane at the time I was creating these, taking pictures and editing the pictures. Luckily, this is the easiest DIY ever. All you have to do is draw. You can create any design you want and I think these would be amazing to give as a gift.
Before you get started on this, check out my hand lettering worksheets so you can practice your lettering and choose the style you want for your flower pot. You can find the flower pots and Sharpie Paint Markers at Michael’s. I went with black and gold because I love the way the pink flowers really pop, but they have so many colors to choose from! Make sure you choose the Oil Based markers. They are water resistant and will work on almost every surface (like these ceramic pots). Plus, they’re AP Certified and Xylene free.
After you’ve practiced your lettering, you can start writing on the pot. The markers are fast drying (seriously fast), but make sure you keep your hands away from the ink before it’s dry so you don’t smudge the lettering.
Next, you’ll draw the lines at the top of the flower pot. I made mine completely random, but if you want to make them more uniform, tape some masking tape to the top every inch or so.
Finally, add some flowers! The pots I got don’t have a hole in the bottom, so I used fake flowers. And let’s be honest…the fake flowers are the only plants that will survive in my house.
I just love the way this cute Hand Lettered Flower Pot turned out!
One other thing…store your sharpies somewhere high. My kids found them and now I have no idea where they are, or what they have drawn on. I try not to think about it. Especially since I want them to make more crafts!!!! I guess I’ll have to head back to Michaels to get some more Sharpie Paint Markers…darn it 😉 Be sure to check your local newspaper and online for Michaels coupons while supplies last.
What will you be making with Sharpie Paint Markers?
