Hot Tamale Fudge

Ingredients

Dark Chocolate Layer

  • 2 12 oz bags of dark chocolate chips
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 3 c. sugar

Hot Tamale Layer

  • 1 12 oz. bag white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 5 oz. boxes of hot tamales chopped

Instructions

Dark Chocolate Fudge

  • Add dark chocolate chips to a large bowl.
  • Add milk, sugar and butter in a pan and heat at medium heat until butter is melted and ingredients are combined.
  • Turn heat to medium high until mixture is bubbling, then turn down to medium low.
  • Stir continually and keep on heat for 7 minutes.
  • Pour mixture over dark chocolate chips and stir until all the chocolate is melted.
  • Add fudge to a greased pan, then let set for about 1/2 an hour.

Hot Tamale Layer

  • Add white chocolate chips to a medium bowl.
  • Add milk, sugar and butter in a pan and heat at medium heat until butter is melted and ingredients are combined.
  • Turn heat to medium high until mixture is bubbling, then turn down to medium low.
  • Stir continually and keep on heat for 7 minutes.
  • Pour mixture over dark chocolate chips and stir until all the chocolate is melted.
  • Add in hot tamales, then quickly pour fudge on top of the dark chocolate fudge.
  • Let fudge set for several hours before serving.
