These Printable Watercolor Monogram Wreaths are GORGEOUS…a perfect and inexpensive addition to your home decor. Includes Hand Lettered monograms for the entire alphabet!
When I saw everyone playing around with their iPad Pros and told myself that I didn’t need another electronic device. Then, I started seeing all the hand lettering and I still held strong…then I tried it and I caved. It’s the only thing I’ve asked for for Christmas for ages and my husband, though reluctant, knew he had to get it for me. I am OBSESSED people…and you get to reap the benefits with these lovely FREE Printable Watercolor Monogram Wreaths!
Here’s a list of everything I used for these designs:
- iPad Pro 12.9 (I like the larger size for hand lettering)
- Apple Pencil
- Procreate App (find it in the Apple Store. You can ONLY use this on an iPad Pro)
- Procreate Brushes from Creative Market Pack of 8 (I used several of these)
- 25 Procreate Watercolor Brushes
- Edit in Adobe Photoshop
The video goes super fast, but here’s the gist of what I did to create these. First, I started with an oval template that I created in Adobe Illustrator. Next, I tested what flowers I would like to create with different brushes. I settled on using the Watercolor Opaque brush in the 25 watercolor brush set. I then added the vines, leaves, then dots. It’s a little more involved than that, but the best thing you can do is experiment and practice with the various brushes. After that, I created a layer for each letter, then tweaked them till they were perfect.
My favorite thing about the iPad Pro and the procreate app is that there is NO MESS! I love working with watercolors and paints, but sometimes the mess is just too much work! Also, that undo button is pretty unbeatable…I make way too many mistakes sometimes!
