I’m a big fan of food bars. I have thrown 3 separate waffle bars, ice cream bars and even an oatmeal bar. This one takes the cake…er, brownie. You can Create a Beautiful Brownie Bar in 4 Easy Steps. When I say EASY, I mean it!
STEP ONE: Make Box Brownies
I usually make homemade brownies, but I decided to save some time with this party by using a box mix. These Pillsbury Purely Simple Brownies are AMAZING. This mix contains no colors, preservatives, or artificial flavors, and taste homemade. You can find them at Fry’s in the baking section. Make sure you download the coupon to get $.50 off your brownie mix!
Make sure you use a 9X9 inch or 8X8 inch pan to make them extra thick! Use a round cookie cutter to cut the brownies the same size as your dishes. I happened to have a cookie cutter that was the perfect size for my little bowls! I cut them out and used a very thin spatula to take them out of the pan.
STEP TWO: Place Toppings in Assorted Dishes
I just used what I had on hand. I always make sure I have plenty of white and glass dishes because they match EVERYTHING, but don’t be afraid to go for an eclectic look!
STEP THREE: Print and Cut Printables
I always say, the best way to spruce up a dessert table is to use printables. Download my FREE Printables, cut them out and attach them to paper straws before placing them in your brownie dishes or toppings.
STEP FOUR to creating the perfect Brownie Bar: Top with Ice Cream
Obviously, brownies need ice cream. I used vanilla bean, but you can use any ice cream you like. I wait until the last possible minute to serve the ice cream so it doesn’t melt…that can be messy!
My favorite combo was a Coconut Strawberry Brownie Sundae…SOOOO yummy. Trust me when I say you need this in your life!
