I’ve been in my house for 2 years now and I am slowly getting rooms finished. I love decorating the kids’ rooms, so it’s no surprise that those are coming along the fastest. I just feel like I can be more daring with their rooms, and since I love color, I can go as bright and bold as I like. Plus, I really wish I could have a gold princess pillow in my room. I may be living vicariously through my daughter at this point. You can check out my HTV Princess Pillow Tutorial in the video below. Make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel to get updates on all my videos (can you believe this is 2 in one week?)
I loved working with this HTV material from Expressions Vinyl. I talked to them at their booth at SNAP conference and I told them I didn’t want to work with HTV because the material is always poor quality. I’m really glad they convinced me to take some home because this stuff is THE BOMB! It’s super durable and really easy to use. The hardest part of this project for me was definitely the sewing. You’ll probably see another sewing tutorial in 10 years, but you’ll be seeing a lot more HTV stuff!
I used my Silhouette Cameo* to cut out the crown image. Get the Silhouette file HERE.
My daughter lost her first tooth yesterday evening and we ended up sticking the tooth under this pillow…because the tooth fairy appreciates things like that. I should know. We only had a $5 bill in our house, so I hope I haven’t set the bar too high. We might be re-evaluating the cost of a tooth for the next one.
I’m so happy with the way this room is coming together and I can’t wait to show you the end result (should be coming in July!)
