If your daughter is into all things girly and pink, you’ll need these Girl Birthday Party Ideas! This party is so lovely and colorful and simple to put together!
I was perusing Michael’s while my kids were in Camp Creativity, and I came across some monogram cards that were pink and orange. My daughter loves writing and drawing, so I bought them, then based her whole party on that idea. Inspiration really can come from anywhere!
If you’re stumped and can’t find a theme, read on for some Girl Birthday Party Ideas!
Get Inspired by Other Parties
First off, I can’t believe my oldest daughter is 7, and she’ll be in the second grade. That’s just crazy. Second, a great way to be inspired is to look up other parties! Here are a few of Riley’s parties that you might love:
- Doc McStuffins Birthday Party (but her real surprise was her princess bedroom makeover)
- Sleeping Beauty Party (not a birthday, but I was too sick from my pregnancy to do anything then, so she got one later)
- When I Grow Up Party
- Cowgirl (Jesse) Party
Also, check out my party board on Pinterest for Girl Birthday Party Ideas! SOOOO many amazing ideas there!
Shop the Bargain Bins
The cards I got Riley from Michaels were actually on sale. I hardly ever pay full price for party items because chances are, I won’t use them again. Bargain bins are great because they’re seasonal and a BARGAIN. Look for things that you may not usually think of for parties, like the feathers on the cupcake toppers, the monogram R (it was only $2!), ribbons, etc. You never know what you’ll find in those bins! You might not even buy anything, but that won’t stop you from being inspired!
Get inspired by Memories
I didn’t realize it until I got all the supplies home…but these were my wedding colors! Ha! I only wish my wedding looked this cute (I was married before Pinterest…sigh). I told my daughter that I chose these parties for my wedding, and she thought it was great that she could share the same colors for her party.
Get a Little Help from Your Friends
I’m lucky that I have a lot of talented friends. I got the idea for the tassel banner from a tutorial by The Casual Craftlete and my friend Laura from Pink Cake Plate made me cupcakes and those cute chocolate diamonds!
Even if you don’t have blogging friends, make sure you ask them for ideas! You never know what hidden talents your friends have!
Work with What you Have
I don’t have the budget to create huge elaborate parties. I don’t want to do that anyway (even little parties are a lot of work! ha!) Since I do create many parties, I have a not so organized closet full of supplies. I didn’t buy any new cake plates; I found the antique bowl in my grandpa’s garage and the table is from my entry way. I also realized I had some cute vinyl from Walls Need Love! So, this party ended up costing me a whopping $60.
You may not have the supply closet, but you’d be surprised what you can do with what you already have. Don’t be afraid to use spray paint or glitter (and yes…I’m still finding glitter EVERYWHERE from this party, but it was WORTH it!)
As a side note, this cheesecake was delicious. You can find the mini cheesecake pans HERE and the recipe HERE. I topped with fresh nectarines and cinnamon sugar. SO yummy!
I can’t wait to share the rest of the details with you guys! Check back later this week!

The glitter aftermath is always fun. I seriously just found some in the kitchen that looks like it is leftover from Christmas! Where does it come from??? 🙂
