I am 33 weeks along…and while I am grateful for a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. I’m done. I’m so so so done with being pregnant. My husband said, “Only 7 weeks to go!” and I almost cried. Call it pregnancy hormones, the fact that I can’t sleep or reach my toes, or even SEE my toes…either way…I’m looking forward to carrying this baby in my arms instead of strapped to my belly. Just remind me of this when I’m changing poopy diapers…I will gladly change dozens of poopy diapers a day. GLADLY, I tell you!
I have to keep my busy somehow…so my project lately has been the new nursery. We have been working on it on weekends and it’s coming together fabulously! My husband painted an amazing feature wall (coming soon…I don’t want to reveal it QUITE yet), we’ve gathered all the supplies we need. I need to finish up some artwork and I’m in the process of getting all the bedding ordered. I’m feeling really prepared and that’s not a feeling I usually have.
We made this changing table when I was expecting my oldest and this thing is SOLID! My husband said if we ever had a natural disaster, he’s hiding out in this thing. It weighs a ton and has been through 4 moves. It’s awesome. We only had to paint it and re-finish the top to match the crib. I’ve got it stocked up with baby clothes (ALL hand me downs…YES!!!), baby blankets and of course, diaper products. We’re all set with our Pampers diapers, wipes and a cool new Diaper Genie! Pampers and I go way back (well…5 years back, anyway). I was looking though all my pictures from the hospital and wouldn’t you know…the very first pictures I have of my baby, she’s in her pampers!
Ignore the fact that my baby that had literally never seen the sun in her life is more tan than I am. I love this picture. I love her wild, black hair and her little pot belly and teeny nose. I was (and still am) completely in love with this girl. And here’s one of my baby boy…for good measure! And yes, my kids have a ton of hair when they’re born!
It’s been 4 years since my last newborn, but I remember all the gory details. Nights that last forever, feedings every 2 hours and hundreds upon hundreds of diapers! If you’re a new mom or a newly expetctant mom…you’ve been warned, but it will all be okay (and worht it)! Pampers can help you out a little.
I know, poo is gross, but it’s not quite as gross when it’s your own kid’s poo. Keep this chart in mind to make sure you’re baby is regular and keep using Pampers to keep diaper rash at bay!
